The first part of helping your animal is to get to know both you and your animal. This includes understanding their medical conditions, diet, and activity level. This is part of the any initial assessment.
Dr. Matt takes the diet your feeding to your animal(s) and analyzes it so it can be compared to the current recommendations for your animal based on its needs.
Once we know what your animal is eating, we will work on tailoring that diet to meet your animal’s needs. Each animal’s situation is different, and we will work with you to make the diet the best one for you and your animal.
Successful diet plans always require working on how a diet is presented to an animal and how well they accept the diet. Diet plans help both the owner and the animal adjust to any new changes.
One of the biggest struggles as a pet owner is getting animals to maintain a healthy weight. Whether your animal is overweight or underweight, we can help you put a plan in place to keep your best friend right where they need to be to stay healthy.
Each consultation includes a follow-up by Dr. Matt to see if the new diet plan is working and if there are any additional questions to help continued success.
